Project file Korschenbroich
Shell construction in Korschenbroich. Groundwork, masonry and concrete in one run.
We take on the whole structure: from the excavation pit through the floor slab to the ceilings, the stairs and the gable. One crew, one schedule, one person to talk to. For private clients, developers and architects in Korschenbroich and the Rhein-Kreis Neuss.

What carries at the top is decided right at the bottom.
A structural shell forgives nothing that sits wrong in the base. So we treat the excavation, the blinding layer, the waterproofing and the floor slab as a single piece of work rather than four appointments with four firms. Every layer is checked for level and alignment before the next one goes on it.
We build complete structural shells for private clients, developers and architects. Detached houses, apartment buildings, office buildings and industrial buildings are among the work that passes through our hands. The site is run by Viktor Knop, master bricklayer and concrete builder, who founded the firm in 2008 and runs it as a Meisterbetrieb, a German master craftsman business.
Every layer stands on the one beneath it. This trade is no more than that, and no less.
Section through a structure
- 05 Slab and ring beam Reinforced concrete ceiling, tied all round
- 04 Rising masonry Load bearing walls, plumb and aligned
- 03 Floor slab Reinforced, poured, levelled off
- 02 Blinding and sealing A level bed and a tight tank
- 01 Excavation and base Brought to depth and compacted
The order is not a recommendation. It is the statics.
Seven trades, one contract
Everything between the base of the pit and the roof connection comes from one crew. That spares you interfaces, waiting time and the question of who owns a given edge.
-
Groundwork and earthworks
We dig the pit, bring the base to depth and compact it. Working space, service trenches and the later backfill are part of it.
-
Footings and floor slab
Strip footings, blinding layer, reinforcement and floor slab. The slab is screeded and floated so the first course of blocks sits cleanly on it.
-
Masonry
Load bearing and non load bearing walls in sand lime block, clay block or concrete. We build plumb and aligned, set the lintels and hold the opening dimensions.
-
Concrete work
Footings, walls, columns, downstand beams and floors in in situ concrete. It is placed in layers, compacted and cured so the surface delivers what the drawing asks for.
-
Formwork
Formwork gives concrete its dimension. We set frames and beams for walls, floors and downstand beams, align them and secure them against the pressure of fresh concrete.
-
Stairs
In situ concrete stairs and landings, formed and poured. The rise and going, the bearings and the connection levels are checked before the pour.
-
Crane and site logistics
Blocks, formwork and reinforcement reach their place with our own equipment. There are no outside crane bookings for you to work around.
Tell us what is meant to be built on your plot.
Describe your project
A concrete edge is exactly as good as the formwork it was made in.
Describe the project. We will come back to you.
One sentence about the location and the size is enough to start with. Everything else we settle on the phone or on the plot.
What helps us on the first call
- Where the plot is
- What is to be built and how big
- Whether drawings or structural design already exist
- When you would like to start
Your enquiry has arrived.
We will look at it and come back to you. If it is urgent, please give us a call.
From the enquiry to the handover
Five steps that look the same on every site we run.
-
01
Enquiry
You describe the project. We come back to you and say what is still missing.
-
02
Site visit
We look at the plot and check the access, the storage area and the neighbouring buildings.
-
03
Quotation
You get a quotation that itemises the positions rather than naming one single sum.
-
04
Construction
Excavation, base, masonry, concrete and floors in the order the building dictates.
-
05
Handover
The structure goes to the next trade swept clean. Anything still open we name beforehand.
What a structural shell looks like while it is going up
Six pictures along the layers, from the pit to the floor slab above.
Example photographs of shell construction work. They do not show any particular contract of this firm.
Korschenbroich and the Rhein-Kreis Neuss
Our registered office is in Monheim am Rhein. We build where the plot is: in Korschenbroich with Kleinenbroich, Glehn and Liedberg, across the rest of the Rhein-Kreis Neuss and in Mönchengladbach.
Short distances are not a comfort on a shell construction site, they are a question of rhythm. Anyone who can be there in half an hour does not lose a day on a concrete pour.

What clients want to know first
01 Do you take on the whole shell or individual trades as well?
Both. The usual case is the complete structure from the groundwork to the roof connection. If only concrete or masonry is needed, that works too.
02 Do I need a structural design before I enquire?
Not for the first conversation. The location, the type and the rough size of the project are enough. For a firm quotation we need the drawings and the structural design.
03 Do you build for developers and architects?
Yes. Part of the work comes from developers and architects, the rest from private clients. The difference is mostly in how it is coordinated, not in how it is built.
04 What happens at the interface with the next trade?
We hand the structure over swept clean and name anything still open, so the carpenter, the roofer and the building services can start without asking twice.
05 Do you build in winter?
Yes, with the limits frost places on concrete. Pours are planned around the weather and fresh elements are protected.
06 How far do you travel?
Korschenbroich and the Rhein-Kreis Neuss are the core. Mönchengladbach, Grevenbroich, Jüchen and the neighbouring towns are part of it.
One call is enough for the first step.
Tell us where you want to build and what should go up. We will sort the rest out together.
